"Our point of departure is to serve the people whole-heartedly and never for a moment divorce ourselves from the masses, to proceed in all cases from the interests of the people and not from one's self-interest or from the interests of a small group, and to identify our responsibility to the people with our responsibility to the leading organs of the Party."
"On Coalition Government" (April 24, 1945), Selected Works, Vol. III, p. 315.*

Buying Parts

CJ parts are available primarily through the bike dealers (domestic and international). Try the dealers in your country/geographical region first, but make absolutely sure that you know whether they have the part in hand in your region or whether they will need to have it shipped from China. Depending on the size of the part shipping from China can be cheap and fast (in the case of a cable) or costly and slow (in the case of a transmission). Before ordering something that will be shipped from China you should make sure to check the Parts Cross Reference, your country's (eBay site), and fellow CJ owners. CJ riders in your country are often an excellent source for commonly-used (and problematic) parts. Many CJ riders have stocked up on the parts they know they'll most likely need, and often times will sell these parts on request or on eBay at little or no extra cost to fellow riders. Be wary of vendors selling parts which they claim will work for your bike, but which were intended for the Russian bikes (Dnepr, Urals, etc.). Those parts may or may not work (subtle differences in these R71 clones may make the parts impossible to use, or impossible to use without significant modification).
