"Just because we have won victory, we must never relax our vigilance against the frenzied plots for revenge by the imperialists and their running dogs. Whoever relaxes vigilance will disarm himself politically and land himself in a passive position."
"Address to the Preparatory Committee of the New Political Consultative Conference" (June 15, 1949), Selected Works, Vol. IV, p. 407.
Seat belts are not believed to be appropriate for sidecars. There have been accidents in which sidecar seatbelts have caused resulted in passenger deaths where those deaths may have been averted had the passenger been thrown clear. While we are not aware of any studies which provide clear proof one way or the other and doubt there are any, some governments have felt they had enough reason to ban the use of them in sidecars.
